22 going on 23. Figure skating. Doctor Who. One day I'll make cartoons that rot kids' brains. One day I'll wear a super awesome dress and do the Paso Doble. Hopefully.

Oh my god, is it true? Is Meryl Streep is playing Finnick Odair in Catching Fire?

Yesterday’s lesson

So my coach decided to forgo continuing the Paso Doble this week and decided he’s going to go back and teach me the European Waltz. In one word, it can be summed up as “wheeee” because it really is all 3-turns (someone once told me that). The only bad part was that when we were running the dance together, I fell and took him down too and almost hurt him pretty badly with my toepick. However, we did get through one run-through sans major disaster.

The Reaping from Mr Mellark’s POV.

My eyes find the girl - the woman - I had once hoped to marry in the crowd as her daughter’s name is called, only for her other daughter to volunteer in her place. Katniss Everdeen. I find the back of Peeta’s head in the crowd, blonde hair shining in the sun. I barely have time to take pity for him, watching the girl he’s so admired all his life stand up and accept her probable death. Because the boys are being called, and it’s Peeta Mellark. He steps forward, and for a second I see a tiny boy running home and telling me that he’s met the girl he wants to marry and she’s called Katniss.

Oh, my boy. My poor boy.

OMG, MY HEART. :O ;_;

oh hello, paso doble

So part way through my lesson today my coach goes “I’ll teach you the European Waltz.” Right before he starts to teach me it he makes a comment about not liking it. So I ask him which dances he does like and he says pre-gold and higher dances. So I (half-jokingly) said “Can we do the paso doble?”

He took me seriously.

I got to learn the paso doble today. A pre-gold dance when I haven’t even tested out of bronze yet.

Woo hoo!

I mean, I don’t have it all memorized and there are a couple of steps that are fuzzy, but I’m too excited to care.

And he even said that he wanted to start with it next week. I said “Seriously?” and he made a comment about me not testing. I mean, I want to test out of bronze, but I really really really want to learn the paso doble. :D

This is the second good lesson in a row…but I’m afraid that my legs won’t cooperate with me next week :/
